The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Mr. Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the people of Venezuela, conveys in this painful day, all his regards and solidarity to the President of Cuba, Mr. Raul Castro Ruz, to Dalia, his children, relatives, people and Government of the brotherly Republic of Cuba, in light of the physical disappearance of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, historical leader of the Cuban Revolution and founding father of the new Latin American and Caribbean history, with no doubt the most important American of the history of the XX century and role model of generations forever.
This Tuesday, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Delcy Rodriguez, said on her twitter account @DrodriguezVen that the Venezuelan far-right leader Henrique Capriles Radonski "shamelessly lies and offends by falsifying public documents to deceive the public opinion". The diplomat stated that it is "absolutely false that the Foreign Ministry of Venezuela has issued diplomatic passports to citizens that do not comply with the regulations."
Rafael Ramirez, Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the United Nations took the floor on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to express concern about the selectivity criteria used to address human rights matters in specific countries, for considering it a tool for political purposes that breaches the principles of universality, impartiality, objectivity and non-selectivity.
Delcy Rodríguez, Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, held a meeting on Friday with Mr. Edmond Mulet, Chef de Cabinet of the United Nations, to discuss matters of importance to Venezuela.
Rafael Ramírez, Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the United Nations expressed, on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement, his concern for the amount of deaths of peacekeeping operations during the last years.

The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Delcy Rodríguez, presented on Tuesday the second Universal Periodic Review (UPR) before the Human Rights Council of the United Nations in Switzerland. During the session of the second cycle of UPR, the Foreign Minister underscored the promotion, protection, and guarantee of human rights of the Venezuelan people, enshrined in the National Constitution and the Bolivarian Government led by President Nicolás Maduro.
Venezuelan Ambassador to the United Nations, Rafael Ramirez, urged the United States to put an end to the economic and commercial blockade against Cuba, an isolation policy that has lasted more than five decades. During the session held at the UN General Assembly to promote a resolution against the financial embargo imposed on Cuba, Ramirez affirmed that “the defeat of the blockade is the moral and political victory of the people of this Caribbean island”
The Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the United Nations, Rafael Ramírez, denounced the difficult economic situation in Palestine as a result of Israel’s illegal occupation which violates the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
